Books edited By Ron Kenner, editor of RKedit, have won Ben Franklin, IPPY, Nautilus, and other awards
Ron has edited more than seventy published books — but what’s new with RKedit? In 2007, a book for which Ron is listed as editor, Orléans Embrace with The Secret Gardens of the Vieux Carré*, was the most nominated finalist (in five categories) in the 4,200-plus publisher member PMA’s (Independent Book Publishers) Ben Franklin awards.
*RKedit associate Tom Puckett served as assistant editor on Orléans Embrace.


As well as stellar reviews and other recognition, Orléans Embrace www.morganapress.com won PMA gold Ben Franklins for Best New Voice nonfiction (first book by a new author) and Best First Book nonfiction(initial title by a new publisher). ANOTHER
BEN FRANKLIN AWARD
As well as recent gold medals for Orléans Embrace, another book edited by Ron previously won PMA's prestigious Benjamin Franklin gold medal (2004) in the category of Autobiography / Memoir: Reflections in the Ice: Inside the Heart and Mind of an Olympic Champion, by Derek Parra, with Patrick Quinn, Podium Publishing.

RKedit was selected, publisher Bonny Warner explained, "Due to your responsiveness, quality work, good suggestions and good price...." And, she added, after considering responses and sample edits from some ten editing agencies. The book also won for Cover Design-3+ Colors.
